History

Boone-Hamlin Cemetery, also called Hamlin Cemetery, sits on former ranch land off FM 2484 near Youngsport in southern Bell County. Its oldest marked grave is that of Dr. R. P. Boone, a Civil War veteran who died November 8, 1864, and a number of graves are marked only with native fieldstone. Burials span from the 1860s into the late twentieth century.
