History
The Earl-Rochelle House in Texarkana was built in 1899 for realtor and merchant John W. Earl and was the last of three nearly identical homes in the city. It is an excellent example of the Queen Anne style, with an asymmetrical composition, a complex roofline of gables and polygonal turrets, and Eastlake decorative detailing. The house is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and a National Register property.
