History
Allen Place, built in 1883 by the Jarvis family, served as a boarding house in the Gulf-coast port village of Quintana. Having survived numerous storms, including Hurricane Carla in 1961, and later restored, it remains a reminder of Quintana's 19th-century maritime heyday.
