History
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History in Bryan is a science, nature and cultural-history museum that has served the region since its founding in 1961. It holds more than 25,000 specimens and artifacts across fields ranging from archaeology and paleontology to botany, ornithology and mammalogy, and features live native animals and a freshwater aquarium. Its grounds include the Turner-Peters log house, an original 1856 structure furnished with 19th-century Texas frontier pieces.
