History

Antioch Cemetery serves the community once called Anti, about eight miles west of Queen City, which grew up around a church organized in 1856. In 1876 J. J. Williams deeded a two-acre tract in the Josiah Massie Survey to the deacons of the Antioch Baptist Church, and the cemetery now holds more than a thousand graves.
