History

Union Chapel Cemetery is at the southeastern edge of New Summerfield in eastern Cherokee County. The site was first used for union meetings of area church groups and later for a Methodist church, on land donated by Dr. G. F. Fullerton. Its burials range from the 1830s through the 20th century, and it was catalogued in 1972.
