History

Rough Creek Cemetery lies southeast of Novice in eastern Coleman County, on land that was part of John Ward's farm. Ward donated the ground for a public cemetery in 1896, and the burial place, divided into three sections and enclosed by a chain-link fence, has served the Rough Creek community ever since.
