History

The Mrs. J. C. King House was built in 1926 as a variation on the American Foursquare form, with a denticulate frieze wrapping its porches, an eyebrow dormer set into the hipped roof, and round-arched windows. Overlooking West Louisiana Street and Mitchell Park, the brick-detailed home with its garage and gazebo is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under the Historic Resources of McKinney.
