History

Old Settlers Cemetery at Wilson Creek in McKinney is an early Collin County burial ground associated with the area's first settlers, including a section for enslaved people. When Wilson Creek Parkway was planned, officials met to determine the cemetery's boundaries, but the limits of the slave portion could not be established and were instead acknowledged on the historical marker.
