History

Willing Workers Cemetery sits on the west side of Montezuma Street just south of FM 806 (Cardinal Lane) in Columbus, the seat of Colorado County. It holds roughly 590 recorded burials spanning from the late 19th century into the 2000s and includes the graves of about 14 military veterans. Local historians systematically surveyed the grounds beginning in 1990, and it remains an active community cemetery.
