History

Gaedecke Cemetery is a very small family plot in northern Colorado County, lying close to the Hinks Cemetery and marked only as 'Cem.' on maps, with about five recorded graves. County historians caution that a nearby cemetery sometimes labeled 'Gaedecke' is actually the Kretzschmar Cemetery, whose burials date from 1855 to 1948.
