History
This National Register listing in the German community of New Braunfels comprises two buildings sited together on one lot: the Comal Hotel (later Prince Solms Inn) of 1900-1901, a late-Victorian commercial hotel, and the Klein-Kuse House of about 1850-52, a representative example of New Braunfels settlement-era architecture. The properties were held by the related Kuse and Eggeling families for nearly a century and together document the town's residential, commercial, and social history. The listing was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
