History

The Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country near Canyon Lake preserves more than 350 dinosaur footprints and multiple trackways, left roughly 110 million years ago, beneath a protective pavilion. The multi-acre site also features a Cretaceous fossil collection, Native American artifacts, vintage farm equipment, hiking trails, and a children's dino-dig pit, with docent-guided tours of the trackways.
