History

Duncan Family Cemetery is a small historic family burial ground within the Fort Hood (Fort Cavazos) reservation in Coryell County. It survives from the rural settlement period that predates the 1942 establishment of Camp Hood, when the Army acquired dozens of Bell and Coryell county communities and displaced about 470 families. The installation preserves such cemeteries and allows descendants to visit.
