Originally a swanky apartment hotel with 125 furnished apartments and a few transient rooms, it debuted as an eleven-story pioneer of large-scale luxury residential living in Dallas and later added a lavish penthouse. Over the following century the hotel, now Le Meridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh, hosted many celebrities and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
