History

The James H. and Molly Ellis House was a one-story Classical Revival farmhouse in South Dallas, home to James H. Ellis, an early Dallas real estate developer. Notable as a large farmhouse that had survived more than a century inside the growing city, it was listed on the National Register in 1995. The historic home was lost to a structure fire in August 2019 and demolished the same day.
