History
The M. D. Bennett House is a historic Cuero residence named for its owner, part of the wave of substantial homes built as the DeWitt County seat prospered from Chisholm Trail cattle shipping and the arrival of the railroad in the 1870s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 among the Historic Resources of Cuero.
