History

The Stephenville Historical House Museum preserves twelve 19th-century structures on three acres, interpreting the heritage of Erath County and the Cross Timbers region. The collection includes log-cabin frontier homes, a church, a schoolhouse, and a carriage house, furnished with period artifacts. The nonprofit museum sits adjacent to the Bosque River Trail near the Erath County courthouse square.
