History

Sunset Community Cemetery, also known as Billingsley Cemetery, is a rural burial ground north of Riesel in northern Falls County. Its earliest marked graves are those of four Dowdy children killed in an 1878 Indian raid after the family moved from Goliad; pioneer H. L. Nelson (1835-1922), founder of the Mountain Home post office, is also buried here.
