History

St. John's United Church of Christ and Cemetery stand near the ghost town of Otto in northern Falls County. The congregation began in 1886 as St. John's Evangelical Church in the nearby Mettina community, organized by traveling pastor Rev. F. Werning, and for years worshipped in the Mettina School built in 1889.
