History

St. Paul Cemetery adjoins the church founded by German settlers in 1894 as the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Congregation, about three miles north of Marlin off FM 2307. The congregation built a school in 1896 and its present sanctuary in 1920, later becoming St. Paul United Church of Christ after a 1957 denominational merger.
