History

Hatch Cemetery near Golinda is named for the Hatch family, among the earliest settlers drawn to the Brazos River bottomlands of Falls and McLennan counties in the mid-1800s. Henry Hatch served as Golinda's first postmaster when the post office opened in 1860, and family members including E. H. Hatch, who died in 1891, are buried here.
