History

This 110-foot Pratt through-truss iron bridge about two miles northwest of Round Top was fabricated by the King Iron Bridge Company of Cleveland, Ohio, and erected on concrete piers in 1890. An example of late-nineteenth-century prefabricated bridge engineering, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and designated a Texas State Antiquities Landmark in 1981.
