History

The Albert Family Cemetery sits on a hill on private land off Highway 159, about five and a half miles east of Fayetteville near Willow Springs. When Richard Landy Breeding sold his father's homestead to Christian Albert on December 22, 1877, he reserved a half-acre for the existing Richard Breeding Cemetery. The Albert family then established their own graves within an iron fence beside that older burial ground.
