History
George Ranch Historical Park is a 480-acre living-history museum on a still-working ranch near Richmond, tracing four generations of one family. The story begins in 1824, when Henry and Nancy Jones received a league of land along the Brazos River as members of Stephen F. Austin's 'Old 300.' Costumed interpreters staff four settings across the property: the 1830s Jones Stock Farm, the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home, the 1890s Davis Victorian mansion, and the 1930s George Ranch cattle complex.
