History

The Parchman House in Mount Vernon is a late-1800s Victorian farmhouse operated as a living-history house museum, part of the Majors-Parchman Farmstead in Franklin County. The grounds preserve an original barn with stalls, a smokehouse, an outhouse, and a chicken house, and the house holds a large collection of artwork dating from the late 1800s to the early 1900s.
