History
This ornate Eastlake-style Victorian residence in Galveston's East End Historic District was built about 1889 and survived the devastating 1900 hurricane. The two-story frame house is notable for its double gallery, projecting corner pavilions, and lavish carved and turned ornament. After being threatened with demolition following Hurricane Ike in 2008, it was acquired and its exterior restored by the Galveston Historical Foundation before passing to a private owner who completed the interior in 2019. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
