History
This large frame Victorian residence in Galveston was built in 1871 as the home of Archibald R. Campbell, from designs by the firm of Scharfenberg and Lesengard. Typical of the era and the Gulf Coast region, it features very large rooms and high ceilings, and much of its original furniture has been preserved. The Texas Historical Commission marked the house in 1962.
