History

Faith Lutheran Church of Post was organized in 1915, meeting first in the Graham School and later the Gossett School, which the congregation bought in 1930. In its early years the Rev. T. C. Willett rode a bicycle from Tahoka to preach. In 1963 the congregation purchased its present building, a 1915 structure originally built by the First Presbyterian Church and the only one of Post's first church buildings still in use. The historical marker was erected in 1965.
