History

Fairview Cemetery is a historic municipal cemetery in Denison. Its earliest recorded interment is that of Harriet D. Morrison, who died in 1882, and the Denison Cemetery Association expanded the grounds with land acquired from Isaac Lindsey in 1911. The cemetery is maintained by the City of Denison Parks and Recreation Department, and a chapel offering an alternative to graveside services was added in 1997.
