This white-pillared Navasota home was built in 1871 by Jesse Youens, who modeled it after his family's residence, 'Tower Cottage,' in Dartford, Kent, England. Youens was a partner in an early Navasota lumber company that operated a planing mill and workshop. The property was recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark in 1981.
