History
The Tomball Museum Center is an open-air museum run by the Spring Creek County Historical Association, founded in 1951 to preserve the history of north Harris County. Visitors can tour restored homes, a church, a country doctor's office, a one-room schoolhouse, a Wendish log cabin, an oil-camp house, a jail, and a barn with a one-horse cotton gin. Tomball itself boomed after 1906, when attorney Thomas Henry Ball routed a railroad through the town that took his name.
