History
The Hammer-McFaddin-Harris Cemetery lies on the west side of Taylor Lake near the Pasadena-Seabrook area of Harris County, on the historic Middle Bayou settlement lands. Dating chiefly to the Statehood and Civil War era of 1846-1865, it is said that more than a hundred early residents of the Middle Bayou community were buried under a grove of post oaks along Willow Gully near its confluence with Taylor Bayou. The site is on private property and has suffered erosion along the lake shore.
