History

T.C. Lindsey & Co. is a working general store and museum in the tiny community of Jonesville that traces its origins to a cotton-country trading post established in 1847. The present building dates to 1922 and remains stocked with period merchandise, from vintage farm tools to a burial tuxedo left over from the days the store sold caskets, alongside the last bale of cotton ginned in Jonesville in 1973. The store's nostalgic interior has appeared in several Disney and other film and television productions, and a nearby museum houses rare automobiles and jukeboxes.
