History

Rizo Cemetery is a small Mexican-American family burial ground south of Kyle, tucked behind mobile homes off Stagecoach Road near the St. Vicente Cemetery. It reflects a common pattern in Hays County, where Hispanic families were often buried in modest plots on the ranches where they lived and worked. The Hays County Historical Commission recorded the site among the many scattered family cemeteries it documented in the area.
