To reach this cemetery from San Marcos, take I-35 south from the intersection of 35 and Hwy 123. Go 5 miles and take Exit 199 (Posey Road) for 1.3 miles to the junction of Rd 266. Turn right onto 266 and go .8 miles to junction of Road 265. Turn left onto 265, and follow the road 2.8 miles, making a sharp right turn approximately .5 miles before reaching the site. The cemetery will be on the left side of the road under a clump of trees. Most remains were moved many years ago. Only one grave is marked but other unmarked graves may exist. There is no fence around the cemetery and cattle are allowed to roam in the area. Some time ago, a tree fell on the one marked grave and wooden fence. I was not able to remove the tree to clearly record the information on the gravestone.
