History
The Chandler Museum and Visitors Center occupies the historic Yarborough House in Chandler, Henderson County, once the home of Charles Richard Yarborough, whose son Ralph W. Yarborough served as a United States Senator from 1957 to 1970. Its rooms present local military, railroad, commerce, education and arts history dating to the 1880s, including a replica of the town's telephone switchboard. A relocated train depot on the property interprets the community's railroad, fire department and postal history.
