History

The Donna Hooks Fletcher Museum honors the woman for whom the town of Donna was named in 1904. Fletcher ran a produce and dairy operation, served as the town's first postmaster, and lived to age 90, dying in 1969. Housed in the historic Donna News Building, the museum displays the town's first telephone, a bar from the Blue Goose Saloon, and early-1900s household artifacts.
