History
The Gelman Stained Glass Museum opened in November 2021 in San Juan, near the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle. Its 16,000-square-foot building replicates a Latin-cross cathedral and holds more than 170 antique windows salvaged from closed churches, including 71 Louis Comfort Tiffany windows, the largest Tiffany window collection in the United States. The collection, illuminated by LED sunlight replication, was assembled over decades by patron Dr. Lawrence Gelman.
