History
The Joe E. Turner House at 1511 Colorado Street in Itasca is a one-story frame residence built in the pattern of a mid-nineteenth-century Texas "double house," with two large rooms flanking an open central hall and floors of six-inch pine lumber. During the 1880s the central hall was enclosed with paneled doors. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 13, 1977.
