History
The Texas Heritage Museum at Hill College in Hillsboro was established in 1964 as the Confederate Research Center and remains one of the nation's most important resources for Civil War research. Its Historical Research Center holds a 3,500-volume library, extensive Texas Civil War newspaper microfilm, and capsule histories of all Confederate regiments and ships. The museum's galleries commemorate Texans' wartime experiences with Civil War, World War II, Audie Murphy, and Vietnam exhibits.
