History

Hillsboro City Cemetery, the older of the city's two municipal cemeteries, was established in 1855 at North Waco and Chenault streets in Hill County. It holds roughly 1,400 burials, and no new grave spaces have been sold there since the 1940s. The Texas Historical Commission recognized it with a marker in 2002.
