Bural Gravesite

Driving Directions:From SH 7 just west of Berea, go 1.9 miles north on FM 1733. Cemetery is located approx. 0.15 mile east of FM 1733 and 0.4 mile south of CR 1075.This gravesite is highly endangered. It is not a map feature and is located in a remote area on private property. The grave is not fenced or maintained. When this survey was conducted, the grave was heavily overgrown and difficult to see. Family members, who visited the grave several years ago, placed survey flagging in trees around the grave to mark its location. Without the flagging, the grave would be very difficult to find without a guide. The grave has either dilapidated brick curbing or the remains of a brick masonry cairn. The bricks were displaced and hidden under the heavy overgrowth and leaf litter. Family members have placed a new granite headstone that reads:Randolph Bert BuralDec. 2, 1825Oct. 2, 1905The grave is threatened by encroaching logging and neglect.
