History

Grapeland City Cemetery is the municipal burial ground of Grapeland in northern Houston County, located on Dogwood Drive at the corner of Redbud. Its earliest recorded grave is that of Rev. Robert McCoy, dated 1879, and the cemetery today holds several hundred burials. Its records were compiled by local resident Nola Luce in 2000.
