History
The State Highway 34 Bridge at the Trinity River near Rosser was built in 1933-34 to carry the highway across the river between Ellis and Kaufman counties. Its main span was a 150-foot riveted Parker through truss to a Texas Highway Department standard design, fabricated by Petroleum Iron Works Co. and built by the Austin Bridge Company, flanked by dozens of smaller I-beam spans. Listed on the National Register in 1996, it was replaced that same year.
