History

Sisterdale Cemetery serves the German community of Sisterdale in the valley of Sister Creek, founded in 1847 by Nicolaus Zink and settled soon after by German 'Forty-Eighter' intellectuals who made it one of Texas's celebrated 'Latin Settlements.' The cemetery lies along Farm Road 1376 in the Sisterdale community of Kendall County.
