History
The John Chisum Gibbons House, also known as the Gibbons-Bankhead Home, is reputed to be the second-oldest house in Paris. Its builder, John Chisum Gibbons, was a civic leader who served the city as sheriff, councilman, mayor and judge. The residence is one of the houses documented in the National Register's Historic Resources of Paris multiple-property listing.
