History
The Valley of the Caddo Museum and Cultural Center in Paris interprets the Indigenous cultures of Northeast Texas, particularly the Caddo Nation, and is housed in a restored train station remodeled to Texas historical standards at 1115 Bonham Street. A nonprofit run entirely by volunteers with free admission, it holds artifacts principally from Lamar, Fannin, Red River, and Delta counties across sections on Native American culture, art, astronomy, archaeology, and education. Exhibits rotate about every four months to cover the museum's wide-ranging collections, and it offers guided tours and workshops for school and community groups.
