History

Founded in 1990, the Lavaca Historical Museum in Hallettsville preserves the history of Lavaca County's towns. Beyond exhibits on pioneer life, agriculture, and ranching, it houses the Texas State Championship High School Rodeo Hall of Fame and an Old-Timers Baseball Hall of Fame. A military exhibit displays photographs of local veterans and souvenirs they brought home.
