History

Vick Cemetery is a rural burial ground in Lee County named for the family of Joshua Thomas Vick, who came to the area by wagon train in the winter of 1869-70 to rebuild after the Civil War. The cemetery lies within what is now the Black Jack Ranch near Giddings, and it received a Texas historical marker in 2010.
